Get Those Tasting Notes Ready: Flavours from Maison du Biere

We're thrilled to reveal the selection of beers that will be available to sample on Thursday 9th May. Join us from 6-8pm for an evening of menswear brands and beer tasting. Maison du Biere is based in both Ashbourne and Elsecar and supplies an eclectic and impressive selection of craft beers from all over the world.

Maison du B

Brugse Zot Blond - Blond

The quintessential Belgian blonde ale. It is made in Bruges by the Halve Maan Brewery using 4 different malts to give it a distinctive big body and sweet malt character. The unique yeast strain adds notes of banana and plum.

Tileyard Studio - Session IPA

Brewed in the heart of King's Cross. This Session IPA is light bodied and easy to drink. It has sweet notes of guava and pineapple.

Little Valley Brewey - Cherry Saison

This goes beyond the traditional Belgian Saison. A rare and fruity beer with lots of character. Based in Hebden Bridge, this beer was inspired bu a Belgian Saison ( a saison being a highly carbonated often fruity  beer). Amber in colour with aromas of cherries and almonds, very much like a cherry bakewell.

Eyam -  Plague Stout

Brewed by Eyam Reale Ale Company (ERAco) in the ground of the old hall. All the beers brewed here are named after the plague of 1666 where 260 people lost their lives. Eyam is also known as the Village of the Damned.

Plague is a smooth stout with notes of treacle, molasses and a hint of coffee. Their other beers include Black Death, Quarantine Blone, Ring o Roses, All Fall Down IPA, and Monpesson's Plum Porter. These are all stocked at Maison du Biere on a regular basis. Eyam Brewery was their Brewery of the Year in their first year in Ashbourne: a testament to the fine beers that are brewed here...
